I'm not into the whole abstract art thing but the fact that you turned that into what it is is oustanding. I believe that is where the talent stems from, not the product itself. To hell with what people thought it stood for, sweat blood and guts went into that project. Pay respect where it's due. And this deserves it.

Brilliant!

I love all the curves and twists in it, especially in the legs (if that is what you would refer to them as) holding it up

I wish I could have the equipment to do this kind of stuff with metal...
:hmm: oh well.
I'll just stick to photography and photomanipulation.

keep up the good work!

Lovely! How tall is it?

I love forget metal - sometimes it can do wonders.

If you don't mind, please take a look at Whispering Tree [fixed] and Whispering Tree [in all it's glory] - it's work of my dad, a metalworker and a blacksmith.

I would be proud to have a sculpture like this in my yard, the curves are so flowing and what an ingenious idea for the bell. Wonderful work!

Sorry to have been so long to respond. Ihave been wthout time to visit da much as of late . I forge and form steel using basic forging skills (drawing, spreading, slitting, punching, upsetting, riveting, forge welding...) and also use modern technology a littie insperation and a whole butt load of perspiration. thanks for the interest. Go check out ABANA you will like it.

Of all your work in your gallery I do think this is one of the best you have done. It is just amazing man, I love the abstract approach to the metalwork, it makes me think Tim Burton when looking at the legs of it. I've seen some great metalworking to, but I like how you mixed the styles for this piece. Kind of combined two worlds there with the styles.

This is top notch work, and if I had use of one of these I would strongly consider purchasing one. Again...if I had use for one.

Very nice job nonetheless.

Nicely done - you don't see much sculpture on DA, especially in this form.

Seems I can't resist putting hammer marks and curves in my work. It is how one brings steel to life.

O.K., so that doesn't hang inside the bell, then. It's rung from outside like a gong?

The part with the loop looks like an anchor for a telephone pole guy cable.

Generally nyce.

Cool. Does it actually ring? When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a lamp...which would have been cool as well.

I really like the legs with all the twistyness and how it has a different shape for each one. Also the contrast between the rough brashness of the stand and the smooth elegance of the actual bell.

The background is nice too but that's more because I have a thing for tree pictures
